I guess I appreciate the honesty. If they never said the quiet part out loud I might start thinking I was gaslighting myself with all of this criticism of capitalism.

Bush during his campaign in Michigan. There was a proposal to remove electricity-generating dams, in order to protect freshwater and migratory fish species. He expressed his opposition to that proposal, and then said this beautiful quote in an attempt to make it seem like he's for the environment.
