Zion Huang just released InnerTune 0.5.0, a free and open source YouTube Music client. The download throttling of the previous versions was finally fixed, making InnerTune now a pretty solid alternative to Spotify and YTM Premium.

Cool app, thanks for sharing. Does it have any drawbacks over YouTube Music premium?

I reckon sound quality is lower.

How does that answer their question?

Been using ViMusic, this one seems nice as well. Gonna try it out for a bit I think

I know I'm pretty thick on the subject, but is YTM different than regular YT? I mean, couldn't we use NewPipe and throw it to background play? Or is the content on YTM inherently different than standard YT?

Either way, thanks for sharing! Choice in services and frontends is always a good thing.

Thanks for this, I was using ViMusic but this seems to be much better.
