I'm 35 fucking years old and am not a Sonic fanboy. With that said, this is really fucking stupid. Sonic is as coordinated, hardy, and physically-strong as Spider-Man, and that's not even talking about speed. He also smashes clean through robots and spaceships with his own back and head, shrapnel and all.
He's also not a "little hedgehog"
That motherfucker is like 3ft tall, which is pretty fucking gargantuan for a hedgehog.
Taller in some games.
Not to mention he can run at the speed of sound, use chaos energy, and can think on his feet.
Not needed to make my point, but yee. No matter how you put it, Sonic is a superhero, and his abilities and traits are as fleshed out and flexible as any major DC or Marvel superhero's.
There was a nod to that in the first movie when he was in his cave reading Flash comics.

Are you implying it would be weird to like Sonic as a 35 year old? Because it came out when you were three and was super popular when you were in your formative years.
It's okay to like things from and reminisce about your childhood, no one is judging you for it.

No, I'm just saying the Sonic fanbase has a reputation, and you don't need to be one of the people with a reputation to defend Sonic's being a superhero.
