One Frankenstein can make many monsters but one Frankenstein Monster is just the one monster and being a monster wasn't even his choice.

Logically, Frankenstein is the one who ethically and morally can be deemed Bad, not the monster.

He only made one and a half, though (he stopped working on his second one before he was finished.)

Frankenstein was the real monster he made along the way

Frankenstein was the monster. His creation was innocent.

To join in the obligatory reminders:

Don't even need XKCD for it. The monster self proclaims himself as Victor Frankenstein's son, giving himself the Frankenstein surname and in another part is referred to as the new Adam. Adam Frankenstein is his name.

Always a relevant XKCD

Obligatory reminder that Doctor Frankenstein was the actual monster

Knowledge is knowing that Frankenstein isn’t the monster.

Wisdom is known that Frankenstein is the monster.

He didn’t spend eight years in school just to be called Mister Frankenstein.

You're right. He didn't spend eight years in school. He dropped out before he got his degree. He is Mister Frankenstein.

They both were

Even more so in the Dean Koontz stories.

Obligatory reminder that as his de-facto son the creature should be named Frankenstein as well.

Obligatory addendum that as a creation of Victor Frankenstein, calling the monster "a Frankenstein" is no more inaccurate than calling Starry Night "a Van Gogh," or a 2003 Aztek "a Pontiac."

This always reminds me of that one joke my iPhone‘s Siri once told me that left me in tears:

What do you get when you cross a dog with an octopus?

Tap for answerA reprimand involving the bioethics commission and the immediate withdrawal of all research funding.
