Just a heads up based on what I saw under other posts with this topic. Please be respectful to each other.

I think that's about the level of respect "your body, my choice" has earned, don't you?

We needn't be overrespectful.

I genuinely can't understand what this sentence means no matter how many times I read it.

As a European: are gender relations that fucked up in the US in general , or is is just a minority within. MAGA? I ask, because most Americans I know are basically re3asonably decent human beings. In my area there are issues, of course, but they are the exceptions, and inter gender relations are generally ok.

I can only speak of my interactions with others as a cis-hetero white male. But there’s a reason that women have been recently saying they would rather be alone in the woods with a bear rather than a man.

I love the term Zuckerverse. I will start to use it rather that the actual name of his app. I try to erase Zuckerverse vocabulary which is, possibly purposefuly, at clash with fediverse vocabulary.

this is the second post I've seen referencing your body my choice, is this becoming a thing rapists say?

is it anything other than a rape threat?

is that what it means?

How is this a meme? It's literally just a death threat by arson.
(ignoring the political stuff here)

[–] Delphia@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Not literally.

Nobody ever said anyone would be in the house, so its more of an arson threat... by arson.

Reaction memes in form of a social media post/comment aren't that rare and on the other hand regular memes in this form are extremely common. I don't see where the surprise is coming from. The threats are very common as well when it comes to reaction memes, just look at those 2 quick examples:

And there are countless other memes where gun or arson are in topic. Those are practically a specific shitposts that you can send to someone as a reaction to something.
