That's why I usually go to Starbucks, coffee and lots of people, do a day's work in hours and give myself a treat at the same time.

Today I learned there are exhibitionist office workers as well as exhibitionist sex workers.

You want me to collate these for you baby?

These must be the people pushing for a return to the office.

This sounds like body doubling to me. A nice little strategy to add a bit of (simulated) accountability to your workflow. Because of this I was able to finish my masters thesis (more or less) on time.

So, what exactly is body doubling? In essence, it involves working on a task while someone else is present, either in person or virtually. This person isn’t there to do the work for you; rather, their presence acts as a subtle motivator to keep you on track. Think of it as similar to having a workout buddy who encourages you simply by being there, even if they’re not engaging in the same exercise.

it's both accountability and that openly procrastinating in a coffee shop is weird

Plus, new environment where I do work. I was actually happiest when I went to my office where a few co workers and I shared a desk with a bit of privacy, with a filtered coffee machine and an adequate laptop to do all my working on

I had days where I only went to work and slept and was still happy, doing work makes me happy

When people watch me doing a task at work, I get incredibly nervous and flustered and probably do the task worse. At the same time, I like people to be around in case I have a quick opinion question on how to proceed. But I absolutely cannot deal with people watching me work lol.

why not livestream yourself working from home?

Comes with a few issues, one is that I may not have an audience, two is privacy being fully eliminated, three is having to also block out the sensitive information and four is that I would broadcast my awful skills to the internet

I feel every point you mention there :D

Yes, that would get you fired with alacrity.
