Is this.... Is this a post from vegan's being all like "omg we be discriminated against, look we are the same" when literally all the others are actually very marginalized very threatend groups? I'm trans and this meme is the same kinda feels of PETA saying there like trans people on how horrible it is, and getting hunted down. When in fact my whole life I have never seen any vegan get denied basic services to the extent of any marginalized people In my decades of living. It's always them wanting to take over Marginalized communities and make it all about them (in my experiences I have had)

Yes there are religions that have vegan type restrictions, there are trans people who are vegans. That's all ok.

It just doesn't feel equitable to me trying to place something someone chooses to do by extreme marginalized communities that are often hunted down (in some places literally hunted down)

As always it's ok to be vegan, or vegetarian. And I get the reason for it. But doing this kinda thing just makes me feel like how PETA is and try to redirect all the attention to them.

I’m not saying the groups face the same level of discrimination just that they need to be treated better. I’m trans too, I know the severity of the situation.

The reason why PETA gets a lot of negative media attention is because of the propaganda from the right-wing political entity Center for Organizational Research and Education slandering the most effective animal rights organization by twisting the facts and spreading misinformation.

The Center for Organizational Research and Education (CORE), formerly the Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) and prior to that the Guest Choice Network, is an American non-profit entity founded by Richard Berman. It describes itself as "dedicated to protecting consumer choices and promoting common sense."

Projects and campaigns of CORE include Humane Watch, a watchdog of the Humane Society of the United States; the Environmental Policy Alliance, which criticizes environmental activists; and Activist Facts, a site dedicated to tracking tax-exempt nonprofits.

The organization defends the alcohol, meat, and tobacco industries and has been critical of organizations including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Center for Science in the Public Interest, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Humane Society of the United States, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

Experts on non-profit law have questioned the validity of the group's non-profit status in The Chronicle of Philanthropy and other publications, while others, including political commentator Rachel Maddow and author Michael Pollan, have treated the group as an entity that specializes in astroturfing.

No Armenian Artsakh, no Alawis, no Yazidis, no other (than Armenians) Middle-Eastern Christians, like Assyrians. At least Copts are not under direct threat now, there appears to even be a movement of people reviving Coptic language and not all of them are Christian.

And don't get me started about Africa, the only people I sometimes hear about are Tuaregs, while Christian communities in situations just as desperate nobody even knows about. By the way, some of those descend from Coptic and Nubian traditions, these are some of the most beautiful kinds of Christianity.

There seems to be that problem with Western academia - huge Islamophilia. Almost no group abused by Muslims is talked about for long, and no action is taken. But not the other way around. People even here love saying how Christianity is just as bad as Islam, well guess what, this statement works both ways and Islam is just as bad as Christianity. If you'd want to protect Muslims abused by Christians for their religion (I can't think of examples other than Yugoslavia recently), then certainly protecting Christians abused by Muslims for their religion should be just as important?

Oh, I forgot, Balkans are populated by European-looking people.

EDIT: Also about said Western academia - it's not surprising that some institution starts talking differently after taking money from royalty of sharia kingdoms for many years. What's surprising is that everyone is fine with it.

OK, I just wanted to point out that:

first, "all these" are bullshit not covering most of the reality,

second, you're not protecting anyone by posting a picture in the Internet.

Discrimination against vegans is a real thing, there are instances where individuals were treated worse, denied housing and work opportunities all for simply having different beliefs. You should consider reading these articles on the topic:

The carnist bias in full display. I never said that being vegan is the same as being transgender, Palestinian or Ukrainian. I just said that all the communities need to be protected. Anything to attack the message, “trying to lecture others”. People often nod in agreement with the progressive points but god forbid that the meme has a pro-vegan message, there are always some selfish individuals who come out of the woodwork to attack it.

Vegans have a moral believe system like how the muslims and jews do. Most people say that we should provide Halal and Kosher options but then flat out refuse on providing a vegan option. They excuse their discrimination using the flimsy excuse “it’s not a religion” no it is a belief system that should be accommodated for.

And the fact that people cheer on cops silencing and stumping on the human rights of vegan activists through the form of aggressive removals of peaceful protesters, trumped up charges.

These are examples of blatant discrimination.

I’m blocking you because you’re an unserious person who cannot see past their own selfishness.

My lord you are quite sensitive. The only issue I have with vegans is when they take their activism a bit too far. Like right now. No one is discriminating against you here. Vegans don’t need any special consideration in order to live. Again, it’s a choice.
