I tried installing the Fedora display link driver from here: https://github.com/displaylink-rpm/displaylink-rpm

It didn't work out of the box, I need to fiddle with it some more.

But, does M3 macbooks support egpus? My understanding was they don't.

My goal is to drive all of this off single cord.

Hey, I have two laptops & I'd like to get a triple monitor docking station that supports both of them, they are:

MacBook Pro - M3 Max - MacOS Lenovo X1 Carbon - 6th generation - Fedora 41

I got this dock: https://a.co/d/1vaXV11 and have been able to get it working with the MacBook, but my attempts to get it working with the X1 Carbon have been unsuccessful.

I can still return the dock if there are other suggestions? Thanks in advance

Thank you!

I guess the second part of my question is I want to confirm that WLED says "per LED" they really mean "per IC".

Pardon a WLED question in the Home Assistant community, but I was unable to find a WLED community in the fediverse.

Regardless, I have this 720 LED/meter FCOB strip, which is 24v strip & I'm trying to figure out what to configure the "LED voltage (Max. current for a single LED):"

Since it's a 20IC per meter & they claim 21watts per meter that comes out to ~1w per IC. But I'm unsure how that converts to mA like WLED is asking for.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🤠

What are your thoughts on something like this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/335508029876

Edit: in case the eBay link dies, it's a link to a SAMSUNG 75 inch Class QLED 4K Q70C Series Quantum HDR, Dual LED Object Tracking Sound Lite, Q-Symphony Motion Xcelerator Turbo Gaming Hub Smart TV with Alexa Built-in QN75Q70C 2023 for ~$930

Of the United States of America…

I broke the screen on my pixel 7 pro, I took it to get repaired by a local shop & we discussed that I wanted an original part. They interpreted this as I want a “new” part, but not an original one. They've now done the repair with an aftermarket screen, which is much lower quality than an OEM part.

I've asked them to make this right, but they say they've done what they said they'd do. I feel ripped off, but I also don't want to be unfair to the work that they've done, installing the part and all. I'm just looking for guidance on how to handle this situation? Has anyone been here before?

I've been contributing to Google Maps for a while, specifically, I usually upload pictures of menu's from restaurants, so future visitors can see them before they decide to eat there! I'm trying to degoogle my life a bit & was wondering if there is a way I could contribute these to OSM?

I'm in the process of replacing my entire cable line up to be entirely USB-C & I am interested in perhaps getting something like volta spark cables. Has anyone tried these before?
