I like Stephen Graham Jones. "The Only Good Indians" had parts that I thought were disturbing.

I know! I hadn't even thought of that until I saw someone's was like "mee" and now I need to get another account. It's like how people get caught off guard when I tell them my 20 year old email is just my name with no numbers or special characters.
I don't use the fork (I'm still learning what that even means). I mostly use PWAs on my desktop and my understanding is that regular FF doesn't have native support for PWAs so you have to use an extension plus a couple other things to make it work.
It seems fine on android though, but the "app" really just opens the URL in the browser, it's not like how Chrome was. NBD though.
Chrome hasn't been my main browser in a while but I kept it as a backup and because Firefox doesn't support PWAs and I didn't want to mess with the extension. Turns out, the extension only takes about 3 minutes to get set up and now Chrome has been uninstalled. And on a random Tuesday, who knew?
I think when people falk about #7, it needs to be revised to "your choice of instance doesn't matter when you're a noob. By the time it does matter, you'll understand what you want from an instance and can simply make another account"
Agree on all other points though. I hope Lemmy keeps growing and getting more active. A lot of the communities I've joined only have a few posts in the past year.
