Chicago has a weirdly high number of mattress chain stores. There's a stretch near me that has 3 of them in the span of 4 blocks. They've all been there for awhile and there's rarely ever anyone in them. No way these are legit businesses considering how often people buy mattresses.
Disgustoid
I'm Asian. If my earwax is super dry and flaky, I hate to see the sludge coming out of other people's ears.
As for deodorant, I switched to a smaller variety of Tom's in my travel kit because the travel-sized ones from big box stores suck. I think the one I bought is aimed at women since their website shows bigger, blacker packaging for their deodorant aimed at men. I'm thinking of switching over to my travel kit ones on a permanent basis because of the fresh lemongrass and lavender scents.
Despite being a huge Trek fan, I forgot all about this show, having only seen a handful of episodes. The reviews here kind of have me wanting to actually watch it and see the slow motion trainwreck for myself.
You can do it! I have faith in you!
(Also resisting taking out the trash, um...because it's drizzling and gloomy outside )
From what I've seen most of the K dramas on Netflix have 8 to 16 episodes and tell a complete story which makes them the perfect length if you don't want to commit to a show spanning hundreds of episodes. Some of my favorites in addition to Beyond Evil and Extracurricular which were both top notch:
My Name
Itaewon Class
Kingdom
The Glory
Stranger
Sweet Home
Law School
Hotel del Luna
Bloodhounds (currently watching)
These are all over the map thematically so hope you find one or more you enjoy!
For those who need a Klingon opera fix sooner, DS9's "Playing God" had the Klingon restaurant owner singing opera with Jadzia. Just watched this episode yesterday in my series rewatch. Not sure how to clip to a timestamp but it's about halfway into the video below:
Thanks for this! Another new channel to subscribe to for me after discovering Junkball a few months ago and binging most of his videos in a few days.
I hope you enjoy your day off and not going anywhere until the cats decide otherwise!
Somehow I've gone my entire life not knowing this monstrosity existed and is actually canon. Now I have to look for it in my current rewatch of DS9 when I get to the Dominion War.
I'm completely torn on it. It looks hideous but it makes sense as to why it exists. Like everyone else, I also thought it was too convenient that Voyager's appearance didn't change as it tried to return home, getting damaged by enemies or having bits simply wearing out and needing replacement without the luxury of Federation starbases around.
A-freaking-men. Orville held down the camp while Discovery was busy doing whatever it was trying to do, spitting out endless melodrama, crises, and crying. I definitely enjoyed some Orville episodes but the show as a whole just felt like a pale imitation of Star Trek. No doubt MacFarlane can write/produce a good Trek-style episode but I'm not convinced he can run a whole Star Trek show.
I love SNW and Lower Decks. Between those shows and Prodigy (which goes weirdly dark at times for a show aimed at kids), I won't miss Orville if the third season was its final one.
I don't even know Oleander and I can sense him judging me like only a cat can.
That Tomb Raider thing was completely asinine. It was a quality reboot of a series that had gone horribly off the rails with a lot of promise and Square tanked it with completely unreasonable expectations, apparently expecting sales in the dozens of millions. And here we are with FF apparently not meeting expectations as well--it's easy to see where the issue is, and it's not with the games.
