Man, I don't want to ditch Proton, it's the most competitive alternative to gmail Europe has afaik. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good, better to have a Trump supporting European company than a Trump supporting American company...

Being a private company, it's what it is called

Idk bro, I wouldn't give them one of my horses until I have at least another more to breed, either

They put their OS in most prebuilt computers, which unlike Apple are mostly affordable for the average user, so it's what people are used to. Linux is a lot of DIY even with user-friendly distros, and I think the tech support they give isn't as trusted as Microsoft's.

I have been trying to get far from GAFAM but, due to how shit is already built around it, it's hard. I don't think I'll convince anyone to give up whatsapp at all, let alone Windows

ofc they are smooth like actual roads, how are cars supposed to comfortably drive in rough, wrinkly roads? /s

No, but there aren't many people that could serve as scapegoats for messing with combustion cars as easily as them

If you like this idea, you might like the idea of putting salt on fuel (if you manage to get to the fuel tank); it makes the fuel filter fill qickly and choke, so no fuel passes to the engine, and it's way harder to solve than some cheap foam on the exhaust.

Okay, we know that the US can't be trusted because it's political compass wil lalways be changing. So what now? We need to organize, but how? Volt Europa is pretty weak and several people I have met have expressed dislike for them, the EU is gonna be reactive instead of proactive towards threats as always, Elon is trying to buy out more parties in EU...

How to proceed? Anything to do that doesn't seem hopeless, like voting for paneuropean parties, or leaving US based platforms for EU based, less developed platforms (like Peertube instead of Youtube, or Matrix instead of Whatsapp?

I wish EU was stronger and both the EU and its citizens (and netizens) les reliant on external services (like youtube, reddit, whatsapp, discord, etc.), and I want to do something about it, but I feel completely lost and hopeless.

I want to get into TTRPGs (Cyberpunk 2020, DnD,etc.), but I'm completely clueless as how to navigate the topic.

  • I know I have to find a group of people to play with

  • I don't have any minis, dice, free table for playing..., would I need to get anything of that? Could Google dices do the trick?

  • How is it played? What is the cycle of a one-shot/adventure/campaign? How does the role-playing happen, taking turns between DM and players? Do the players tell an action their character is doing and the DM says wether it's allowed, wether they have to roll dice, or tells them what happens next?
