/r/snakes was surprisingly active given our fairly niche position in the greater pet community.

I'm not talking about advertising money, I'm talking about them contributing to the fees paid to the FIA to host the actual Grand Prix. The organizers lost money on that race most years. It ran, and 2019 was no exception.

One of my friends has truck nuts on his 70's moped, and it gets a laugh out of people wherever he goes.

I'd like to believe my Honda Ridgeline is the exception to this, but truck bros don't acknowledge it as a real truck anyway.

The rest of the teams don't want to expand the grid because they believe it'll make their entries less valuable should any of the owners decide to sell.

Who on the grid does? Ferrari, Alpine, Honda, and Mercedes build engines, outside of that the rest of the teams are building tightly regulated cars. Andretti is one of the biggest names in American motorsport, they're attempting to bring in a new engine supplier and one of the biggest car companies in the world, and they have the money to do it. What more can be reasonably asked of them?

Gravel traps can catch parts of a bike or rider and cause them to roll/tumble, which is almost guaranteed to cause more serious injuries than sliding across tarmac. Just as a recent example, Pol Espargaro suffered serious injuries at Portimão earlier this year after sliding into a gravel trap and getting hit by his own bike.
