I printed some stuff that I thought was cool and just put it up on Etsy early this year at a price that would be worthwhile for me. I was shocked when the first order came in as I never thought anyone would buy it. Then the orders kept coming in and I’ve grossed about 6k so far on Etsy. It’s nice that all of my hobby equipment and filaments are paid for and that’s all I’m looking for.

I continue to randomly list stuff that I think is cool. Sometimes they sell and sometimes they don’t and that’s fine. I don’t do SEO or research keywords or advertise. If I get bored of selling prints one day then I’ll just stop.

And printing is the least time consuming part of the process. It’s the packing and taking it to the post office that takes up the most time.

I absolutely remember coworkers that worked late and went above and beyond. The difference though is that some of them worked late because they were much slower than their peers while others worked late because they always willing to help during a crisis.

I didn’t have control over comp back then, but as soon as I landed a lucrative project and needed a few software engineers, the ones that went above and beyond were the first ones I called. I was able to 3x their previous salaries. The 3rd guy I managed to get 1.5x.

They are providing for their families very well now with house and car purchases. YMMV.

Nothing wrong with coasting if you are comfortable. For others working hard is a habit or necessity.

It’s the cheapest PLA that I could find at about $10 / roll, made in the USA, ships pretty quickly, and nearly all rolls print without issue. But this is the second time I’ve seen a bulge like this, so it’s not bad luck. There’s some quality control issues.

I’ve printed about 40 rolls of iiidmax PLA+ and have encountered bulges like these before. I thought it was just bad luck but I think I’m done now. Going to try to finish the 10 rolls I still have left and find a new brand.

Yeah, I noticed it as well. Some of the more forceful/emotional lines had the accent slip. I figure those takes are hard to reshoot.

Anyway as soon as I saw her father was Ser Jorah, I knew where she got the accent from. 😂

I think Holston is dead. Although we don't see it, I believe Jules left the badge on his body.

Rebecca Ferguson was fantastic in season 1. What a great casting choice.

Printed this a while ago on my Ender 3 Pro. Took forever but came out pretty well.

Scaled this guy up 270% to just about 12" tall. Printed each piece separately and took me a long time even on the X1C. Then it took some more time figuring out how to glue it together. Unfortunately it looks like the author removed it from thingiverse.

Prints started to get all wonky about a week ago. I couldn't figure out the problem. Changed the nozzle, tighten the belts, lubed the z screws, and cleaned the carbon fiber rods. Disassembled the extruder and I didn't see any clogging, but when I disassembled the hall sensor, I noticed a lot of wear. Then I found a piece of metal inside the extruder that I suspect broke off from the hall sensor somehow. A new extruder arrived yesterday and the X1C is printing like a champ again.

When I run the Power Delete Suite, it runs and tries to edit but I noticed most comments are not edited. I tried updating a comment manually while it's running and it gave me

"Looks like you've been doing that a lot. Take a break for 3 seconds before trying again."

Looks like there's rate limiting. Is there another tool that works for editing all my comments before I delete them?
