Custer's revenge would have been an acceptable answer as well.

What led to this?

Is there some benefit to the company?

Is there a shortage of web developers?

Is it just the latest trend for things to be an app?

All of this, and they could have just started airing the house hippo commercial again...

Checking in from right in the middle of three of those big fires in Canada. We had air quality ratings of around 600-700 (according to purple air) today.

For parts of the day it was snowing ash.

It's truly awful. But I'm thankful I don't have to deal with asthma, or dealing with being evacuated.

I saw a news article saying we had the worst air in the world today, then I checked around in purple air and were a close second. A neighboring city was showing values at 800+.

Yeah a lot of the other comics at the time were really just telling the same 'joke' over and over. Garfield: Mondays suck. Haegar: wife is ball and chain. Shoe: work sucks. Cathy: it's hard being a woman. Family circus: I don't know how that was even published...

Far side was always something completely different from week to week, and in that context it's easy to see how it stood out, even if sometimes the jokes didn't quite land.

I had a HTC G1, the first android phone, it had a slide out keyboard, and it was nice. The mechanism was satisfying to fidget with and it was a full 5 row keyboard with enough space you could comfortably type even in a terminal emulator. The screen was small, and the onscreen keyboard at the time sucked for autocorrect.

I'm glad the track ball, and the chin didn't stick around.
