"All those years ago, Tim had left the Princess behind. He had kissed her on the neck, picked up his travel bag, and walked out the door. He regrets this, to a degree. Now he's journeying to find her again, to show her knows how sad it was, but also to tell her how good it was."
Those who lie and justify their lies, either with or without more lies.
When browsing all, it doesn't matter whether the instance is in Australia or in Portugal. Because lemmy.world is the biggest one and all the content comes from there, that's what I see.
Maybe they're Americans from U.S., but I don't care about that. I was just referring to the posts I see when I'm browsing all, because the vast majority refer to U.S. things.
That doesn't have to be a bad thing. I commented on posts that were weeks old or a month old. Reddit had this bad habit that everything older than 30 minutes was irrelevant already.
Sure, seeing old posts doesn't help to create an image of activity. But don't think that something old is irrelevant, unless it's a news post.
I know there are Chinese users on Mastodon. But since I joined the fediverse last year, I didn't see any Russian user anywhere, or any Chinese user outside Mastodon.
I don't mind seeing content in English or other languages. A different thing is to understand what is written in those other languages, except Spanish and maybe Portuguese, French or Italian. But I don't remember seeing any language filter. But I know there is a language filter on Lemmy.
It depends. I'm on two instances, sopuli and beehaw. Both of them are really welcoming and cool, and I can interact with people without worrying about being bullied or harassed or attacked by random trolls just because they don't like what I say (and trust me, suffering those actions while being neurodivergent is way worse than suffering those actions while being neurotypical).
But I think that more than 70% of the content I see comes from one single instance. Excluding beehaw (they defederated that other instance, and I agree with that), I think that sopuli also has similar communities that are like abandoned or with low amount of content. That's something I don't like.
It depends on your struggles. In my case, medication is not enough to deal with executive dysfunction, and that's why I'm waiting for therapy.
Untreated ADHD can come with depression in the long run, and it'll be harder to treat, because instead of one issue, you have two issues.
Exactly, that's what I saw. As an European myself, I don't give a shit about DeSantis or Iowa or what mass media has censored. It's OK to talk about that, of course, but when all my feed is bombarded with US content...
No, it doesn't.
