No offense taken friend, ascii has no inflection so it's hard to tell sometimes. Have a great day.

And it seems to me like the main reason the dems are unhappy with his win is that even though he won a primary, he is not very likely to win the election given American fear of socialism.

Hate the game has gotten you the Trump death camps, congratulations!

Yeah victim shame, are you really a victim when you are this complicit.

Yeah, I get you, the trouble is also that well thought out policy is usually complex and hard to translate in to easy to shout slogans, which is the kind of stuff conservatives thrive on.

If there is no god there is no other responsibility than your own. No destiny or gods plan to hide behind, no comfort that people who suffer now will have a better place to go to when they die. You either act like a decent person now or you mess up the only chance people have at a nice life. Once you accept that, there is only the choice to help others or at least minimise the damage you cause just by being there. People who would not realise that on their own won't improve with religion. They are the kind that would only use religion to judge others and decide the infidels lives don't matter.

There is enough humanist morality that does not include god and a lot of pretty decent morality that comes from non Christian philisophy or religion. If you want religious people who really act good look at the Sikh. If you want a set of humanist morality rules that have nothing to do with the christian god look at the tenets of the satanic temple.

The Satanic Temple has seven fundamental tenets:

One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.

The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.

One's body is inviolable, subject to one's own will alone.

The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.

Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.

People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.

Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

Yeah, the current king isn't really responsible for his great - great - great grandfather's actions either. Indeed Israel cares not about the Palestinians and just wants their land. It's all greed.

Perhaps you would review the political carreer of the Italian pornstar/politician best known as "La Ciccolina" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilona_Staller

Allowed by a 19th century Belgian king to be perpetrated by a bunch of international companies in a system heavily pushed by the US, but lets just say "the Belgians did it".

I hear that a lot, that the stupid are easier to control. However my personal and of course anecdotal experience is that if your policies are well chosen and your theories grounded in research and even well informed common sense it's much easier to lead smart, well educated people. Stupid, ignorant people are neigh ungovernable. Even if they want to do what you tell them they mess up the execution of the instructions.

How can someone be a moral person if they only act out morally out of fear of a gods wrath?

You are absolutely right. Few people ever claimed the Dems are in any way perfect, they aren't, but the constant stream of posts here that seem to have only one purpose, ensuring the fascists hold power, disgusts me to no end. "It's all the Dems fault! , because if they would only adhere to my left ideology which is -totally- popular in socialism hating America, they would have won" is not getting us out of this any time soon.

In November, the difference was clear. One party offered slow incremental improvements on many real issues. Letting society adapt to these changes as they go along. The other stood for the wanton destruction of everything as you see now.

Making sure people hate the other party, in this stupid two party system is making sure the dictatorship can go on as it pleases forever.

No I replied to your comment which implied you should not vote for democrats because they sick, but you should work to make people's their next choice easier.

To me that equals causing a Trump win and then claiming that saves lives. If I misunderstood, you might want to be more clear in how you word your comment.
