For me it's more about how much time it actually wastes in a single sessions which stops you from doing stuff you wanted to do. I have used it before and had exactly this issue because the algorithm worked too well

I mostly agree with them though, because a lot of the content on tiktok is pretty much useless stuff that wastes your time you have to scroll a lot to actually get somthing useful that is well researched. On lemmy most of the posts have proper content and articles(ignoring memes).

Why are you supporting tiktok so strongly in this whole comment section, are you trying to convince people to waste their time on another app which only purpose is to use your time instead of doing something useful?
