I wonder if there's an evolutionary reason for this. It might have been beneficial when we lived in smaller tightnit groups. Being a part of the group was more beneficial for safety than the alternative, so we tended to hold the views of the group regardless of whether the views are correct or not. No way to test this unfortunately, and it's kind of an armchair hypothesis, but it kind of makes sense.

What a stupid policy.

I get into political arguments on the internet all the time, and nobody cares. Enders Game definitely lied to me about how the world works.

So glad this guy has a chance at the white house again.

Yeah, and that's an extremely unrealistic science fiction book.

This shit is bonkers crazy, where do these people come up with this stuff? It's lunacy to the core.

Imagine if we all put our heads together to explore the wonders of the universe instead of firing explody rockets at eachother.

"Phase it out". They could stop adding it tomorrow if they wanted too. Nestle just sucks.

I'm just not sold on it. I can play the same games without VR, and they work just fine for me. I think most people feel the same way.

[-] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago

I've played VR before. But I don't see it as a necessity just to play video games. It's also incredibly disorienting after playing for a while, and it's expensive to get the VR headsets, usually, also requiring you to already have a console, or PC to hook up to, so why wouldn't we just play regular games then?

I'm shocked, just shocked i tell you. It's not like they've been saying this is what they're going to do for literally months.

Bummer. I want to give them my money, but they're not accepting new investments right now.

I enjoy doing game jams. Usually I do a retro N64 jam. But I've also done a bad art jam, and a few halloween jams. This time I've decided to do a full 2D SNES jam. Hope to see you there!

It's no secret that people with adhd often have sleep issues. I certainly do. I'm curious what bedtime routine helps others sleep. My partner likes to read a boring book before bed, but I struggle to read books unless they are engaging. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
