So I have this "core memory" mentality to parenting. When my kid does something really annoying (like want to go to the public bathroom just because I'm going) I remind myself that I don't want this to be the one thing this month/ year he remembers when he's 20.

Wow I forgot this existed. I somehow found myself watching one of these as a kid and was SO confused. Haven't seen one since. I hated it at the time because I just wanted to see the movie. Recommend one to try as an adult?

This is my silly contribution: 70% of 30 is equal to 30% of 70. This applies to other numbers and can be really helpful when doing percentages in your head. 15% of 77 is equal to 77% of 15.

I get it. Again, thanks for taking the time to helping me to see a different perspective. I swear my social awkwardness (and lack of general awareness) will be the death of me.

Thanks for the insight. Truth is I still struggle with his passing. He had a great sense of humor and we knew we could make the most dark/twisted jokes and comments to one another. I kept thinking about him when I was dropping the subtle hanging comments to this other dude. I saw it as honoring what i loved best about the deceased but maybe I'm just having a hard time coping. Thanks again.

He was more than a good pal to me.. wasn't to the guy I was talking to. I was honoring my deceased friend who had the absolute best sense of humor, Often dark.

You'd have to know the guy who passed. He was the funniest dude. I thought about him smiling looking down on me even if I was making the other dude uncomfortable. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have played voyager and jerboa but don't see a way to do what I'm wanting.. I have the option to browse "all" or "local". But can I easily browse "local" of an instance I'm not signed into? Say I'm signed into lemmy.world but want to see top local for sh.itjust.works? I may be using "instance" in the wrong context here. TIA!

I'm not sure if I'm asking this correctly but is it possible (using voyager) to browse "local" of an instance I'm not signed into? Say i'm logged into lemmy.world but I want to browse "local" for, say, sh.itjust.works. Is this possible? TIA

I have the opposite issue. I type exactly what I want to say, get distracted, then never send it. "Why didn't you reply to me?" "I did. Oh.. I never hit send.."
