Ah, yes, the famous American right to free speech

In the USA* (in civil countries it has been that way for decades)

Thanks. Today I learned: a network called Matrix exists IRL

My Xiaomi tablet just updated from MIUI to Hyper OS (Android 14). I like some improvements, but I don't use multi window and I'd like to get rid of that three dots thing (top center) since they don't go away even if a video is playing fullscreen. Even if those pixels on the border are actually video, the three dots stay on top and dynamically change color in order to maximize the contrast with what's behind. I think that's pretty crazy, so... Any way to hide that annoyance? ๐Ÿค”

why so? I read the news, I'm just pointing out this very typical US-centric habit

[-] Roccobot@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago

many federal countries have states. Examples: Mexico, Brazil

Since Lemmy is trying to be better than Reddit, can we agree that titles should be like '5 US states...'? Not every person that reads news here lives in the United States ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Oh dear god. Well thanks a lot for the explanation ๐Ÿฅฒ

Thanks! But what does 'before you leave' mean?

Honestly I don't know if it's something Lemmy-only, but I see many post titles ending with the world rule for no apparent reason
