This dude has evangelicals in his base and mimes a blow job days before the election and he still might win. We live in interesting times.

We do. It's called progressive taxation and funding social services.

He is using a tactic here where he knows 100% that something is not going to happen so he calls for it in an attempt to divert blame and appear virtuous.

Solar is very expensive upfront cost and requires upgraded infrastructure. Cuba is poor and their infrastructure is old as fuck.

Kinda get the feeling the for-profit medical system is deeply corrupt.

This is a dumb take. A "gifted" kid is literally one who doesn't have to try as hard as the other kids. Busting your ass comes later once you age out of grade school and have to develop personal discipline and systems and that is where most "gifted" kids fail because excelling in education has been so easy for them so far.

I mean it's classic Orwellianism to make up wild claims so that they seem normal when you do it. It's also called hypernormalization. Say crazy outlandish thing that doesn't exist. Then when it happens no one is surprised. The Big Lie. Etc.

Not sure what you're talking about. Since the summer it's just been post about Dems and how Republicans are weirdos. Honestly, the socialist presence on Lemmy is lacking.
