While I believe you, I haven't been able to enable hibernation with it on.

You have to turn off Secure Boot to enable hibernation, and I value hibernation enough to do so.

You're just asking if it's okay for you to be in a professional group chat with other professionals? Yes. What's your follow up question?

The docking mechanism is simple—since the asteroid is likely to be iron-rich, Vestri will use magnets to attach itself.

Love this.

Shower helps wake me up. Also gives me an opportunity to sob a little in privacy.

They usually come as pajama sets that have matching pants and shirts. I'd check places like Target, JCPenney, etc., especially around the winter holidays.

(disclaimer: I don't support the political views of ACLU)

The.. political views? As in, where they decided to stop defending Nazis?

Freeze your credit report at all three credit agencies and ChexSystems. That should protect you from most fraud that involves opening new accounts.

Where would I ask a question about Mint Mobile? Just realized that texting myself doesn't actually go through as a text, which is weird, but don't know if there's a community I can use to ask about it.

I want to be able to control my thermostat from my phone, so I'm looking for recommendations for one that meets the following:

  • Works with no network access (as in, I can access it but it can't access anywhere else, enforced via VLAN on my firewall)
  • Lets me control my single apartment thermostat (temperature, heat/cool, maybe programming but it's okay if I have to do that on the unit directly)
  • Not hundreds of dollars
  • No microphone

Any thoughts? Really just want something simple.

Edit: I have no other smart home devices right now, if that matters.

I wasn't sure where to ask this, so please feel free to direct me to a different community if there's a good one for this question.

Are there any US banks that allow their clients programmatic access to their own data? As far as I'm aware, that's not really a thing in the US, but I might be willing to switch banks if there are any that provide access.

Like, to make folders/categories/collections of them so you can collapse groups in the sidebar?

I used to have this working, but I haven't used it in a while and had to rebuild the server in between, and now it doesn't. How do you set up the PAT in the URL in order to access private repos when building using docker compose?

build: 'https://PAT@github.com/username/repo.git#branch' is what I'm trying to use, but I get:

failed to solve: failed to read downloaded context: failed to load cache key: invalid response status 404

EDIT: See comment for (silly) resolution. The above works.

Basically, which linux distro is the best for a non-power user? Someone who wants to be able to get up and running without having to learn how to manage the OS using the cli.

Quick example: When I install a new OS, the first thing I want to do is install Brave. That should be as easy as "click on this thing, type in brave, select Brave, install."

Is there something like apt-cacher-ng but for pip? So I can have one machine cache all the packages for the rest of my network.
