Your last sentence made me realize something. You're right that if you target one business they will go to another but that's a feature not a bug. The goal is it's a negotiation. Demand better working conditions and stop funding corrupt politicians and then we will return back to work. The company won't want to go out of business so hopefully they would agree.

For the demands of the strikers they could include a time period for example no funding of Republicans until 2034 as an example.

Regarding living paycheck to paycheck that's why I mentioned the mutual aid network. I know most people can't stop working for very long, that's why there would need to be some kind of group to support this.

Regarding labels like socialism or communism, I'm not advocating for that. I just hope for better wages, working conditions and less corruption in politics.

I agree with you. Imagine if people built a mutual aid network designed to sustain people for maybe 6-12 months and the country just went on strike. People stop showing up to work everywhere in protest of the oligarchy.

If Project 2025 becomes a reality we might start seeing headlines which say "In the United States, couples who divorce will be sent to labor camps".

No country is safe from Elon Musk's election interference. It's urgent that we boycott Twitter and Tesla. If you have a Twitter account do the following now:

  1. Send a DM to your favorite accounts and urge them to stop using Twitter.
  2. (If you haven't already) register for Bluesky.
  3. Make a Tweet saying you are no longer using Twitter.
  4. Tell your friends to follow the same instructions.

These could take as little as five minutes of your time but it will make a huge difference because of the ripple effect. When one person leaves it will automatically incentivize your friends to follow you. You have the power to make a difference.

You're right. I was only half way there.

It seems like being a Republican is a get out of jail free card.

Elon Musk had the sexual assaults and other legal troubles. All of a sudden he's a conservative.

Trump had huge debt and failing businesses and shady money laundering schemes and non payment of people he employees. Now he's a republican.

And now mayor Adams is going Republican too.

This is a lie. People just spread this to trick you into not voting so the Republicans win.

You understand how things work! Ignore the apathy trolls. They are trying to silence your vote. Here's what actually happens if you vote for the lesser of two evils. You're rights are protected and next time use the primary process to pick someone even better.

Yes boycott all his companies! Also most important is to urge businesses, government and institutions to boycott his companies. This will have a bigger impact.

According to https://library.ucsd.edu/dc/object/bb0000819h yes it's real and the year it's from is 1941 more specifically 1941-07-08. You can view what I think might be all or most of his political cartoons here: https://library.ucsd.edu/dc/collection/bb65202085

On November 5, 2024 we made a grave error. We sent Donald Trump back to the white house. A man who has according to the Wikipedia article about his campaign increasingly espoused violent and authoritarian rhetoric. He has used dehumanizing language against his political enemies, and his 2024 campaign regularly espoused anti-immigrant nativism and anti-transgender fearmongering. Trump's embrace of far-right extremism and harsher rhetoric against his political enemies has been described by historians and scholars as populist, authoritarian, fascist, and unlike anything a political candidate has ever said in American history.

Although I knew he was going to be bad I could not have anticipated just how bad things would be. When the news started coming in about his cabinet picks I started to feel terrified. Here he is consolidating power just like a dictator would appointing people who would have fealty towards him and be willing to carry out his will even when it goes against our laws and norms. Not only that one of his appointees Tulsi Gabbard seems more loyal to a local Hawaiian cult and Russia than to the US and our allies.

I worry for our future and worry for all the people Trump is going to harm. I especially feel sorry for all the people in other countries who didn't vote for Trump who will suffer because the damage Trump causes isn't just going to stay contained in the US. His presidency is going to have negative effects on the global economy and even on the planet itself.

Trump claims to represent the comman man but he actually is for the billionaires who will benefit from his tax cuts and stripping of regulations that protect us ordinary people. With Trump our rights will be taken away and the rich will get richer while the poor get poorer.

The corruption of the billionaires buying elections have never been so apparent with Elon Musk spending $277 million of his money to get Trump elected. Now Elon musk wants to do the same thing to your country by donating £78,000,000 to Nigel Farage

I'm determined to do what I can to try to make things better even though I'm a nobody. When I found out about Elon Musk's possible donation to Nigel Farage I felt inspired to share my experience and try to warn the UK about Elon Musk and Trump. The things I described could happen to you, they can happen anywhere. I urge the people in the UK to reject Elon Musk's attempt to interfere in your politics.

I noticed a pattern if you see someone who exhibits some or all of these traits you know they are not someone you'd want elected.

  • Strongman personality
  • Claims to be for the common people (but are actually for the billionaires and the elites)
  • Xenophobic
  • Sympathetic towards Putin and other dictators

A person who fits this description is nothing more than a conman. You will get poorer, the rich will get richer and your rights will be taken away.

Think about this list and think who matches some or all of that description. Think about if you'd want to live in fear everyday like I do now. Then realize you can help stop it. You can help simply by spreading the word and talking and listening to people. This is fascinating article I'd highly recommend you check out: https://www.vice.com/en/article/how-to-change-a-voters-mind-is-deep-canvassing/

I couldn't fit this important detail in the title. It was a proposed joint US and Russia project. I already tried to reword the title to fit more information but I couldn't fit it with the character limit.

IP3 International (International Peace, Power and Prosperity)[1] is a nuclear technology company formed in June 2016. One project involved a plan to transfer nuclear technology from the United States to Saudi Arabia.

During the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign of Donald Trump, and subsequently, Trump aides Michael Flynn and Jared Kushner were engaged in promoting IP3 International's plan to transfer nuclear technology from the US to Saudi Arabia, for use in a proposed joint US-Russian project, in possible violation of the Atomic Energy Act.[2][3][4][5][6] In January 2017, Derek Harvey, a retired Army intelligence officer, former staffer for David Petraeus, and then-staffer of the National Security Council under Michael Flynn, advocated for the IP3 nuclear sales plan. Harvey continued to speak with Michael Flynn "every night" even after Flynn resigned.[7]

In February 2019, United States House Committee on Oversight and Reform chairman Elijah E. Cummings released a report on the matter, based in part upon testimony from whistleblowers within White House.[6][8][9][10][11][7][12][13] The House Oversight Committee released a second interim staff report and supporting documents in July 2019, highlighting the "gold standard" of nuclear proliferation. It also reported lobbying by Flynn and Barrack and briefings to White House members including President Trump, Jared Kushner, Gary Cohn, Mike Pompeo, and Rick Perry.[14] [15] [16][17]

Here's an interesting article about the same musician: https://english.elpais.com/culture/2023-07-21/why-woody-guthries-guitar-was-a-fascist-killer.html

Relevant paragraph:

Woody Guthrie’s guitar didn’t kill fascists because it fired bullets. It killed by neutralizing the fascists. Music, like culture, has the power to defeat right-wing extremists and their antidemocratic ideas rooted in xenophobia, racism, homophobia and sexism. Guthrie fought using ideas, language, music and the shared desire to build a better future together.

This has been a long standing conspiracy theory amongst right wing talk show hosts and other people. Basically the claim is that FEMA will imprison lots of people especially those with far right views using a emergency as a pretext. This conspiracy theory has been widely debunked already.

The interesting thing is now something like the conspiracy theory may happen in real life except ran by ICE instead of FEMA. I'm curious how people who previously propagated this conspiracy theory feel about Trump's plan for a mass deportation. If you know anyone who's into this conspiracy theory would you be able to ask them their thoughts on the FEMA camps and then bring up Trump's mass deportation plan. I'm curious how'd they'd react. Let's not assume because everyone is different. While trying to research this question I found one article from the right that showed deep concern about Trump's plan: https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2024/nov/20/deep-state-wants-terminate-constitution/ but I can't really find much information otherwise.
