You're not making any sense.
They may have used the word wrong, but getting parodied by Weird Al is actually more prestigious than winning a Grammy. Not because Weird Al parodies are rare, but because he only parodies songs that are actually pretty good. I have trouble believing that if the song were actually bad, playing it on accordion with jokey lyrics would be an improvement. There's no Weird Al parody of a Nickelback song, that I know of.
This is one of those questions that is easy to scoff at initially as a stupid question, but really it's not. Especially once you learn about wombat poops.
Those are the kinds of inconsistencirs the GOP use to accuse you of voter fraud, even if you correct it. Don't be surprised if some GOP busybody adds your name to a list of voter registrations to purge. Whenever they talk about voting irregularities and a rigged election, this is exactly the kind of voter disenfranchisement that they are trying to accomplish. Hell, question enough votes and you can get the votes of an entire region thrown out. You don't need any proof to make the accusations, then they massive shit sandwich gets dropped in the lap of a few underpaided and understaffed people to substantiate. I recommend you vote as early as possible and follow up to make sure your vote gets counted.
Jokes on them. Batman is fighting crime in a failing empire. I might have fun writing a paper about how the comic series is actually about the fall of empires like the Roman empire. I'd footnote and meticulously cite the shit out of that paper just to code clues that I knew exactly what the Professor was trying to do.

Short simplified answer: nobody wants to pay for the infrastructure. Especially in the last mile. There's probably a Planet Money episode about it. If not, there should be.

There are choices, it's just they all suck unless you're willing to move. Nobody's arguing that it is a local semi-monopoly.
There's other options, but they're all MUCH slower. If you want a different ISP with comparable or faster speeds, you need to move. In my case, internet is bundled with HOA fees. And there is no other fast option available at my address anyway.
I am actually currently binging old episodes of Critical Role, but it's my first time through so I'm not sure if that counts.
Also, I'd re-listen to most every 99% Invisible and Planet Money episode.
