Yeah here on Lemmy usually the worst it gets is “your operating system, my choice.”

He got more votes than he ever did in the previous elections, and won the popular vote for the first time. God damn.

You reap what you sow.

Some might say that makes you deserving of it, and others might disagree. But the apparent causal relationship exists outside of moral judgments.

I have a mental image of crowds of people that already had their faces eaten off — they’re just skulls covered in blood and leopard fur — and they are pointing and laughing at these people.

I think the “more to it” might be significantly crazier than the timing thing.

Or ears have unique complex shapes that attenuate certain frequencies and bounce sound around in complex ways depending on the direction they ate coming from. And our brains instantly process all that stuff too. It’s why our sense of hearing isn’t just on a flat plane around our head.

Yeah as an American I generally support the rest of the world trying to drag us back into the civilized world however they can.

But at the same time, international travel inconveniences will have a 0% effect on a LOT of people who need the message.

Honestly I think many of them don’t listen to him talk. They just passively absorb what’s thrown their way.

That was my reaction almost exactly. It’s like Dunning-Kruger the job description.

That is the hyperbolic caricature conservatives apply in their head, sure.

It’s a pretty common approach to complicated issues.

I can’t get enough of these familiar spacefaring faces!

Making my first Lemmy post because this moment in my DS9 rewatch made me think of you all.

I think I’ll call her Captain Gilora Lochley.

Also, DS9 is even better than I remember. It’s been a while!
