I like the background of B the best. But it looks more like a dog and it's throwing me off. I like the character of the first one better, especially with the V on the helmet.

So I think I'm voting for A

It's very hard to tell, but I'm guessing the middle one is gpu exhaust. So two outs, one in

Ok telekinesis would be cool.

But I'm going with 2 and 6.

2 because my short term and long term memory is really bad (compared to most other people), which is makes college and work extremely difficult. Also, it'd be nice to remember my anniversary. So a cute would be awesome even if it comes with some downsides. I'm pretty good about accepting things and not getting thing up on stuff.

6 is great because it can be similar to perfect health. I think that can be interpreted two ways, immortalality or perfect health RIGHT NOW. I don't really want to live forever. That only seems to have downsides. so I'd rather an extra 8 hours in my day where I can devote some of that to working out and eating healthier. I do that now, but I'm too busy to be as consistent as I'd like.

Same here. Steam says 200 hours. Which is a lot for me. The next closest is NMS at 50 hours.

My play time is also higher because I have played many hours offline and then reset my computer so it didn't track that time.

It's such a ridiculously addictive game. I regret nothing.

For real. Also 29 and have been taking night classes. After 2 years of school Ive changed my mind again. I just have no idea what I actually want to do.

I grew up always being told I was really smart and would go places. So I've built my life goals around trying to do something "grand". I've only recently realized that I don't HAVE to do anything. It's OK to just exist and enjoy life. I'm still struggling to fully accept that, but I think I will eventually.

Combine that with fortune and throw it in your bash script and you get a new message every time you open terminal.

Ayyyyy! That's perfect. Exactly what I was really looking for! Now I know what word to use when looking for something new. Thanks!!

Added to my list!

FMA brotherhood is good enough that i can get past it. Still annoys me, which is why (unpopular opinion) I prefer the OG series even though brotherhood has a much better story.

Code Geass and parasite are fantastic! I'll add these other to my watch list. Thanks!

I don't think its that strange. i just don't find these scenes to be funny and that is what they tend to be used for. Unfortunately, i want to watch shows with overpowered characters, which tend to be geared towards kids who enjoy these scenes more.

Here is a link to some examples from FMA brotherhood. The sharp teeth, deformed characters, etc. It just breaks me from the story. you can convey emotion without monologue just fine. Another link from demon slayer. I get that it is supposed to be funny, and my example is a fairly obvious one. But there was another scene from mugen train where Rengoku is talking and he is getting bigger and bigger. He explains the plan and then while he's talking, the other characters make a comment about how big he's become. Three times. Like come on, you can't just have a serious conversation? it's like the show doesn't think you can pay attention for more than 3 seconds, so they have to throw in a "joke".

I hope that makes more sense. I know most people don't mind, but i do.

Hey guys, So I know I'm being a little picky here but I'm looking for suggestions. I wanna watch some more shows that don't, or barely use (looking at you Berserk with Puck), super deformed art style. Most often I see it used in animes of heavier stories that want a way to break the tension. It works, but I hate it. Demon slayer is a great example. I love the story but too often the art style changes, characters become large or tiny, have exaggerated expressions, etc. It seems to be for comedic effect, but it breaks my investment. I couldn't finish demon slayer because of it.

I just watched Hell's Paradise and that was great. They never used it or it was so sparingly used I didn't notice. So I'm looking for a new show to watch, something Shonen that doesn't use SD. Also, preferably with characters who are already reasonably competent without whining.

Anybody else hate that style? What are your suggestions?

This comment reminds me of the Eichmann trial. He wasn't inherently evil like we want to believe. He was just a man doing his job, sending jews to their death. It's pretty chilling to think about the evils he carried out when he was just doing what he was told to do.

Another somewhat counterpoint, I think in today's society it's harder than it traditionally has been. Specifically, I would love to go to protests and be more active. But for me it's really hard to do that because I have obligations. Specifically, I can't take a week off of work to go to DC and hold some signs. It's not that I'm refusing to do anything, I just don't have the time when I'm more worried about my mortgage. I do donate to charities but it's very difficult to do much more because of debt.

I've got two:

“The apocalypse is not something which is coming. The apocalypse has arrived in major portions of the planet and it’s only because we live within a bubble of incredible privilege and social insulation that we still have the luxury of anticipating the apocalypse.” by Terence McKenna

And the other is from an old salty chief when I was in the navy. This is paraphrasing but:

"Every fuck up comes down to a combination of three root causes: didn't know, didn't care, or a material problem"

Someone gets hurt on the job? Well, did they not know they were doing something wrong? Did they not care enough about safety? Or was it simply because something broke? Maybe they didn't know AND they didn't care to find out.

Hey guys, I've used plex in my home for a while but decided to share my collection with a friend. It seems that even when I can get plex to do a direct stream, it still transcodes the audio and he only gets 7.1 channel audio instead of dolby atmos.

Any idea what setting I've got wrong? The file I tested was one I had ran through handbrake, ensuring that I left passthru enabled.
