People aren't familiar with most of their base material, and its still funny as hell. With the cultural familiarity to TOS it seems like it would be even more relatable? I dunno, but I would watch the hell out of it personally
In one of the first few episodes Neelix Is trying to offer her some brown sludge and she doesn’t even consider it, she’s just straight up like “I SAID COFFEE”. Later on she’s talking about coffee from the replicator and Chakotay is like “That’s a bad example for the crew” Because they’re on rations and she gives him a “You’re dead to me” look
If MST3K did all of TOS I think it would be a hit
I started rewatching Voyager this weekend, originally only having watched it intermittently when it originally aired. Janeway IS unusually intense about coffee
