why not boycott all major corporations every day? it does require a bit of work, but the more money you spend locally, the better your local communities will be

yeah sure, just be sure to note that WiFi is creepy beyond imagination (and is proposed to keep getting worse)

so you might have been grifted, but your actions affect other people. your car is a spy mobile that sucks up innocent bystanders' data without their consent. and yeah, maybe do research before supporting a company, like how Cocacola did business with Hitler - but even that ignorant at best $2 purchase doesn't negatively affect everyone else to the extent your car does

isn't the point of the fediverse to not consolidate?

the detail is so good!

preferably something that can run on *nix. I have seen pdfid, but it seems a bit old compared to some more modern threats, but I could be wrong

title. I know Lemmy is global, so I'll see articles and links to sites that I have never heard of. I assume most content is good, but it's also the internet so there has to be assholes somewhere. any good ways to stay proactive about attacks?

totally, thanks for tip on Sony. I find the older stuff to be built better so I don't mind repairing them

[–] blackberry@midwest.social 2 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

ahh yeah. I do spend most of my time off line and that's one reason I don't want to use streaming services

[–] blackberry@midwest.social 2 points 2 weeks ago

very interesting, thanks for sharing

yeah that's a good advice. curious, where would the "lie" be?

streaming has a history of being data intrusive. and buying from most online stores show itemized music receipts to the credit card company (and don't typically allow giftcards). buying in person is nice, but harder to get new music.

any tips?
