Yeah...pretty much

It's no surprise voter apathy is so high in this country

Hillary in '16

My entire voting life has been votes against over votes for when I think about it :(

And yet, you all continually post things about how a migrant did a bad thing. I wonder why that might be...

Its blatantly obvious this is just bog-standard fear mongering. Did someone do a bad thing? Yes. It isn't any different from any other terrible thing done by a human being. Your disingenuous faux pearl-clutching just makes you look bad

Isn't that a self-propelled artillery piece? I wanna say like an M109 or something

Premise reminds me of The Integral Trees a lot

I guess the logical progression is to go after the most accessible level...meaning eventually the office workers would probably be a target, which isn't great.

That, or people go after, like, their extended families instead...which isn't exactly great either...

Maybe flooding a country with firearms and putting them into its constitution isn't such a good idea

Its my understanding that subsonic ammo sometimes won't have enough gas to move the slide fully and must be done manually like this

Scientific advancement in space experimentation leads to breakthroughs in other areas - all scientific progress is interconnected.

"Pushing science towards solving the most immediate and important problems" is sort of a nonsense statement, as there could be new efficiencies/strategies that are discovered in fields that are completely unrelated to what would normally be associated with "the most immediate and important problems."

Love me some niche political RP scandal write-ups

My musing is not the sole reason why I'm voting for Harris, but you are correct that it is not exactly up to her (which of course kind of undermines the continuous claims I see from people saying she could end the genocide right this second).

I actually wonder if she has a different stance on Israel but simply will not/cannot talk about it because she is also the VP and it's a "bad look to go against the boss," so to speak.

Yeah...at best they're just useful idiots for the powers that be to exploit/point out as "look they are all crazy."

Having dealt with them, they seem utterly committed to both parties being bad because they both serve capitalist ends and the ruling class (which is true tbh), but then fail to grasp that while both sides aren't great, one side is at least doing SOMETHING positive while the other is actively trying to destroy things.

Just from a climate standpoint, at least the Dems are passing some kind of legislation about green energy and agree it exists, whereas the Republicans deny it and want to cut all remaining protections. This leaves us with two options: either these people want things to get worse out of some desire for change acceleration (yikes), or they really are just that stupid and can't see any difference.

But also, you are literally killing Palestinians by saying these things - join me in waggling my finger at the government to feel better about yourself!
