As a woman who doesn’t use any of that stuff honestly my main thought was that it was a way of saying the product won’t give you a Michael Jackson/Ghost Rider type situation when exposed to flame

When the employees own the company every decision is made according to employee and community interests. I’m a syndicalist for that reason. Though I do acknowledge that there is a need for community funded and owned ventures as well.

Because its role is to aid in the voiding process. Much as part of the role of water is to serve as a carrier of urea out of the body, fiber’s job is to provide, bulk of a sort that’s easy on your intestines for the removal of waste. We could have evolved different dietary needs, but as fiber is plentiful in what we ate in the wild we adapted around it. Similar to how cats need external sources of taurine but we don’t.

True, but also given limited resources good public transit is just a better use of resources

Waking up as one of the worst people in history certainly does sound unappealing. And by worst I mean he both did a genocide and banned Christmas.

Yeah what next? Sam and Lily?

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I disagree. They don’t think of us as people

I’ve been stably poly for 5 years and my biggest lesson has been that stably poly people aren’t who new people wind up with because we aren’t churning through people. I’m just in two long term relationships at the moment. I’m open to another; but I’m very discerning about it. I have a few friends in similar positions.

I think being ethically nonmonogamous is hard but mostly because it’s hard to be vulnerable and treat people right when all your hormones and emotions are flaring. But some of the people I most respect the relationship wisdom of are poly as well. Others are monogamous, and yet both the monogamous and nonmonogamous ones sound very similar when talking about relationships. They speak of honesty, self knowledge, emotional regulation, and a willingness to walk away before it becomes a shit show once you understand it’s no longer working.

But I’ll say this, I’m never going back to monogamy. It wasn’t where I was supposed to be.

So the trash is taking itself out?

I figured I might be able to find some answers here. I've been off and on trying to install home assistant after setting up an old desktop with proxmox, but I've never been able to get it running. I've been getting this issue:

[supervisor.docker.interface] Can't install ghcr.io/home-assistant/qemux86-64-homeassistant:2024.10.3: 500 Server Error for http+docker://localhost/v1.47/images/create?tag=2024.10.3&fromImage=ghcr.io%2Fhome-assistant%2Fqemux86-64-homeassistant&platform=linux%2Famd64: Internal Server Error ("Get "https://ghcr.io/v2/": net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)")

Attempting to go to ghcr.io/v2/ seperately in browser results in it saying I'm unauthorized

But I’ve been getting this error:

[supervisor.docker.interface] Can't install ghcr.io/home-assistant/generic-x86-64-homeassistant:2024.4.4: 500 Server Error for http+docker://localhost/v1.44/images/create?tag=2024.4.4&fromImage=ghcr.io%2Fhome-assistant%2Fgeneric-x86-64-homeassistant&platform=linux%2Famd64: Internal Server Error ("Get "https://ghcr.io/v2/": net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)") [supervisor.homeassistant.core] Error on Home Assistant installation. Retrying in 30sec

I’ve tried changing DNS, but it didn’t help and I seem to get no other helpful results from searching. If anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate it as this seems to be something my home could benefit from but it’s just not loading beyond the CLI
