The only way to form a progressive party and win is to install progressive leaders in key DNC roles. Actually creating a new votable party in a country using first past the post would be political suicide, and grants Republicans the win.

A new official instance dedicated to the 50501 movement was created recently and is in the works. It has some brainstorming communities, a mirror of r/50501, and all 50 states have a community assigned to them. They are also looking for state organizers for their Lemmy state communities!
