I know it's just a meme but they both solve different enough problems. A self-driving car can easily turn back into a non-self driving car, meaning you can self drive for long transit and switch to a normal one in the city or hectic areas. This basically solves the issue of self drive tech not being smart/reliable enough. Which, as you probably also agree, is still quite far from perfect.

No it's not. Both the trolley problem and the prisoners dilemma are individual event thought experiments.

Real life is different, it is continuous. The rational choice for an individual event can be very different than a continuous one.

Take the prisoner's dilemma (or game theory) for instance, it is the rational decision (nash equilibrium) to rat your fellow prisoner out but if you have to do it again and again, then the best strategy is to NOT rat out your fellow prisoner (only rat when they ratted you out in the last round).

Reality is often like this, and elections are also like this. It gets complicated real fast.

Not really, if you just gather all the people you commit atrocities against, and send them to the middle east, you might get away with it. Hell you might even claim to be a bastion of peace and freedom.

Some more ideas:

Call the people you sent "civilized" against "barbarians"

Call them "the only democracy" in the middle east (you might need to overthrow some government in the nearby regions)

Commit more atrocities so more and more people go to your "solution".

But they are not social creatures, so if they were, even when they died someone in the social group could still teach the youngs

The whole post is an example of a propaganda technique where you keep repeating one thing over and over until it becomes a default thing where people don't even question the logic.

The ones capable of refuting it feel tired because of the sheer number of posts while the vulnerable ones get affected.

Today both sides "feel" that the use of this propaganda is fair game cuz the other side is already doing it.

I recently asked a friend of mine something similar and i will add it here for the sake of discussion.

We need to fulfill our basic needs in order to be happy and content with life. There are 3 basic/main categories:

1: bodily needs: better diet, exercise etc.

2: mental needs: intellectual conversation/pondering, reading/writing a book, even playing some video games etc.

3: spiritual needs: religion/hope for a better time and better place

I would also add one more,

4: social needs: spending time with friends and family, doing something for the community, relationships and dating etc.

Since my friend and I are religious, 3 makes sense on its own. But you might need to think about what it means to you. Imo the most important part is having hope.

Personally for me, its 1 and 4 that i struggle the most with. And in the end, its okay to be wrong and try different things and formulas to find what works best for you.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes! You live and you learn!

I think his knowledge was lacking, he did have wisdom to first put enough effort in searching for it and then once he realized, he admitted to it.

It would be ((trick nor treat) or treat) so basically all the non-circle region and the treat circle is filled............

After writing this, i am wondering if you actually needed the information or was it just the funny thing to say...

Realistically nothing. You gain very little by saying something than you lose not saying anything. The only time people are somewhat open to being talked to, is when they already recognise you a little...

I really thought by making intentional mistakes in my comment people would be able to see the OBVIOUS sarcasm, but I guess not....
