You realize the average video gamer is like 40 right?

Good. Contribute to the society that allows you to be successful or gtfo. There's bound to be growing pains associated with that but I don't think that would be worse than what is happening now.

He completed his transformation and became one with the desert in the form of a new type of semi-sentient cactus.

One could argue that situation would occur if we were smart enough to repeatedly elect those kinds people

They are implying that when faced with the choice of paying €30 for a couple of pints or smoking free weed that many will choose the latter which will impact alcohol sales in bars to a significant degree.

I don't think that's their fault. They specifically addressed a two party system in multiple writings (they didn't like it) in addition to explicitly stating that they expected future generations to update the constitution as necessary to protect the republic from those who would seek to undermine or replace it. We didn't heed their warnings and now here we are.

To be clear, I don't think the framers were infallible or able to see all possibile challenges that our nation would face. However, they seem to have been pretty damn good at learning from history and that's something modern Americans are absolutely abysmal at. For all their faults they have a lot to teach us in that respect.

I could see that being one of a very few possible events that might actually get enough people off their asses to force legitimate change in this country. It's dumb but so are we so it tracks.

I don't know who those commercials are even for. It's not like you can walk into a pharmacy and get whatever you want. A doctor still has to prescribe it to you and hopefully they're not letting patients decide what to prescribe.

I have no idea where that data comes from and that's exactly the point I'm making. It doesn't match my personal experience at all.

Can we add the option to exclude communities and/or posts that are in a different language than our chosen default? I'm guessing filtering communities would be easier than individual posts but I'm not sure how language would be flagged. I understand some people may want to see some of these posts but even multilingual people must be bombarded with posts in languages they don't speak. I'm getting pretty annoyed that half of my feed is stuff I can't read.

I've looked through the settings multiple times but I suppose it's still possible this already exists and I just missed it.
