More like a CEO is required to say AI is working great at their company or their shareholders get angry regardless if it's bullshit or not.

Yeah I just wished there was more cross posting intelligence so we don't have duplicate posts filling up pages. Like if they creates checksums of the posts that clients can use to filter out duplicate posts.

louise fletcher from what I read she was the nicest person and almost zero ego and treated people in support positions like grips and PAs with grace and respect. She was one of my favorite actresses that i loved to hate her characters.

That's the thing though you really don't have to deal with old packages. The ones that count are in the backports repo and for everything else there's is flatpak. Plus I think the reason steamos switched from Debian to arch was the methodology changed from being mutable to immutable and making it more for a handheld vs installed on many systems. It had nothing to do with the quality of the distro.

I don't know about the best but Debian has been going strong for 32 years and the backbone of many distros. Its MVP in my book.

The availability to see if people are open to interact with me. Im so afraid of imposing on anyone it makes it a challenge to make friends.

I think the the other issue is reporting of events is split into thousands of sources. Just like with media there is no longer a shared conversation between everyone. Back in the day. If Walter Cronkite talked about it everybody knew about it. But know everything is fractured into their own subcultures and to extent their own realities.

Agreed it's like they heard steamos is based on Arch and didn't understand the work that went to marking it immutable

Most people don't read them. It reminds me of back before the AI days when you would have to spend time writing up those email summaries to send the team only that nobody reads them. I proved this to my boss that for 4 weeks straight I embedded that to the first person to email this +email gets $50. I never had to pay out because I was right 4 weeks in a row before I stopped. So many emails and newsletters in companies are done just because it's just how it's done for proper communication. Its just mindless busy work that wastes my time.

Robocop Rogue City , Terminal/Esc, and Castle of Illusion

For those don't know Neil Breen. He is known for using VHS camcorder and a CT Scanner made out of paper in his movies.

Bonus points: if that place/activity is friendly for disabled people with limited mobility.

Like there be one for Covid then another one for ebola. Generic ribbons for each mass shooting.

I know it's dark but they need to be recognized. In the Army we would joke our ribbons were our PTSD listed out our chest. Figured it's the same for them.

Like they construct the world for each day? Like you see them putting up mailboxes and painting the roads.

If someone is dead they should stay dead this is how art dies. It's easier to keep recycling the same time shit over and over. I want to see what the new generation brings to the table.

When having one of my bad days I think of that quote. It's was a random statement in a comicbook of all things. If you check my post history I would be considered a doomer about the climate only but I'm trying to not be.

I know i would go crazy eating the same bland flakes

I was just thinking about the word social media as a term answer how it relates to regular media.

Like what is regular media? it's someone that is paid to entertain you for money or influence you for people that pay them for power.

Now the word social media if it relates to old media what would it be at face value. It's a person that is paid to make you feel like you have a social connection with them for money influence you for people that pay them that want power.

Like what was social connections on the internet before the rise of social media.

It was forums and if we look at that word what is it as face value from the word itself its meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

Ideas to be exchanged everyone was equal there was no media personalities no popularity contests. No followers just a group of people sharing ideas around a common interest.

How off base am I? did I miss anything in my reasoning here?

Like the question above am I just an old man that's not keeping up with the times or is terminator still a great terminal to use in 2025?

My favorite was a time my best friend and I were on the second phone line talking and took on 15 to 2 in quake 2 CTF and won.

Im looking for the internet equivalent of screaming into the void when stress gets to great and you are about to pop.
