Tonight’s the night that we got the truck,
Gonna go downtown, gonna beat up drunks.

I want your skulls

Where ya been?
Hey Mister in the mirror where’s my friend?

I got into Luke Bell around 2015/16 back when he took a hiatus from playing music due to some mental health issues dealing with bipolar disorder. He has some music that i really enjoyed and was looking forward to his next release, whenever he was well enough to do so. Around 2020/21 he started coming back around i guess you could say. He wanted to make music again. Unfortunately i think his illness and his circumstances got the better of him. He disappeared, and was found just over a week later, deceased. Ultimately it was blamed on a fent overdose, but it was acknowledged that he had very recently changed medications for BPD.

RIP Luke.

You put the lime in the coconut and call me in the morning.

Originally written for Diana Ross by the Brothers Gibb. For reasons im too lazy to look up, the song was passed on and reworked for Parton/Rogers into a duet. Recorded in 1983, it spent about half a year (24 weeks) in No 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100.

Im sorry but I’m just thinking of the right words to say

1980s country gold. I love a rainy night.

When you’re down on your luck,
And you aint got a buck,
In London you’re a goner.

This is from Jerry Jeff Walker’s Viva Terlingua! live album. Gary P Nunn backed JJW as a member of the Lost Gonzo Band. London Homesick Blues was the theme song for Austin City Limits for almost 30 years.

A song of great social and political import.

Oh lord wont you buy me a color TV?
Dialing For Dollars is trying to find me.
I wait for delivery each day,
Until three.
Oh lord wont you buy me,
A color TV.

RIP Pearl.

Good music from Austin, Tx. Recently rebranded themselves as Silverada. Some neotraditional country, if thats what youre into.

If somebody wants to know
whats become of this old soul,
Tell em im looking for the end of that long white line.
