I took the Amtrak down from this side of the border once and I swear there were pensioners walking beside the tracks faster than the train was going.

I used to mod XB1's. They're basically a computer inside. Had XBMC (the precursor to KODI) installed as my dashboard. My games were all copied to the 250GB hard disk I had put into it so they loaded and ran extremely efficiently. I had emulators for PS1 games and Nintendo.

At one point, I even paid a very talented chap for an Xbox board with double RAM and a 2x faster processor soldered onto it.

You had to get a tool from online to patch your executables to be able to handle the extra processing power, otherwise many of them would run at 2x speed because they were pegged to the clock speed.

Love those things. Lots of nostalgia.

I'm sincerely excited for all of these expanded functionalities. My sincere hope is that I can, eventually, replace all of my cloud services with a locally hosted setup that integrates cleanly with my home via Home Assistant.

Does anyone know anything about using a locally-hosted AI instead of chatGPT? If I am running one on a local server but am unsure if there is an add-on/ integration to make it the backend for one of my "Assist" assistants instead of chatGPT

I have had good luck with reolink cameras, which, so far, have with RTSP as a feature by default. They offer a program, which amazingly doesn't require an account be made.

I put custom RTSP firmware on all of my old Wyze cameras and then blocked them from WAN access.

I think they are suggesting that having a large number specialised browser extensions actually increase the uniqueness of your browser fingerprint and thus make you stand out more. Similarly, wearing a specialised anti-id tech or material, they are suggesting, draws more attention to you?
