It sounds so classy when a choir sings it.

"Sudden syphilis retreat" is a weird way to word it.

Dude, know your audience. Lemmy is not the place for this SEO stuff. This belongs on LinkedIn or something.

Already working on it. Just need to find someplace I can get a job that will let me work outside the US.

Good luck. I've been trying that for years and somehow the darkness always creeps in, usually in the form of American politics :(

Well that's one positive. Maybe the whole white house will get covid and put us all out of this misery.

The Lottery messed me up, as did Flowers for Algernon. The rest look like a great reading list and worth picking up. Might check the library for some of those.

Really some insightful questions from the audience too.

Oh Tremors is a great idea! And I've been debating whether to watch John Dies at the End because I love the books and wasn't sure if the movie would be as good. Will add that to the list. Thanks!

Yes we watched that one last October! Totally fits in the vibe. Really enjoyed it. I'm thinking we might do a series of revisits and that's definitely on the list.

I'm doing a month-long series of campy, classic and unique horror movies. I'm pretty liberal in what gets included, trying for a lot of variety. I'm particularly a fan of spooky comedies (like the Burbs), and generally avoiding big franchise horror series to see more unique stuff.

I'm enjoying seeing so many movies I would never come across any other way, even if many of them aren't all that great. So far my favorite is probably Cabin in the Woods or Happy Death Day.

Anything I should add to the list?

Watched (in order)

The Burbs Batman Death Becomes Her Slotherhouse Cabin in the Woods Happy Death Day Llamageddon The Thing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies The Final Girls Attack of the Killer Donuts Drag Me to Hell Ernest Scared Stupid Final Girl Killer Sofa

Coming up (no particular order)

We have a ghost The Babysitter Antebellum The Fly Little Monsters Rocky Horror Picture Show Last Night in Soho The Mousetrap Hell Baby Get Out Us Happy Death Day 2U Leprechaun The Cult of Humpty Dumpty Prom Night Killer Klowns From Outer Space Lisa Frankenstein Becky Cinderella's Revenge Saturday the 14th The Monster Squad Severance

Yes it is! It's a ridiculously cute game. I took my time with it and just enjoyed knocking pots off shelves and catching birds. If you're a gamer and cat lover it's a good buy.

Reminds me of whose line is it anyway games where one person would put their hands behind their back and another person would use their hands to act out the scene. These suits have the arms and shoulders positioned similarly. They look really uncomfortable.

Thanks, Onion, that does make me feel better.

God bless the FTC.

???

Finally some good news on a studio closure. So glad for the team at Tango they found someone to take them on.

If you haven't watched the olympic break dancing competition, do yourself a favor and check it out. The woman competing for Australia might be the best thing I've seen so far.

So, anybody know a good launcher to use once Nova goes offline?

Left the original title from the article for consistency, but article suggests that they may not be shutting down and are instead restructuring.

36 employees were laid off.

Curious about y'alls opinions on this. I like the idea of getting new people to experience an older game by aligning it to modern graphics and accessibility standards. But capitalizing on nostalgia with quick updates to that make it look modern rather than making new games seems like just more of studios trying to squeeze money out of us.
