Related: AC. I live in an apartment complex in which each unit has a shitty, absurdly loud AC unit. Come 17 °C and one jackass ruins it for everyone else who might to sit outside or have their windows open. Between that and landscaping....

I had to double check the word for rust in Polish thinking surely that it must be a typo, but no. Rdza is indeed rust in Polish. Kurwa język.

Edit: apparently a lot of other Slavic languages are similar, e.g. the equivalent of rżawczyna in Russian (don't have a Russian keyboard).

I occasionally get IP blocked with Proton. Previously I just toggled the random button a few times until it let me through, but Proton seems to have removed that in the latest update for no readily apparent reason.

Disappointed that they got rid of the random server button (unless I'm blind?). It made getting around VPN detectors a lot easier.

Legitimately grappling with this now in the chemical industry. I don't work directly with petrochem, but my salary is essentially subsidised by plastics manufacturing, including cracker technology. Can I somehow move the needle toward better technologies in a fundamentally conservative sunk-cost asset-based industry? Or, am I better off quitting, trying to find a new job while being legally barred from talking about work-related accomplishments, and hoping the whole thing somehow goes under on its own? It keeps me up at night.

Yeah, cocoa powder is what I am planning for the next attempt. I keep forgetting to pick some up at the supermarket. Coffee sounds interesting, though I'm typically not a fan.

I don't know about "better", but I've been experimenting with adding bitter chocolate to my indian curries. The thinking being, some masalas are a bit like mole if you squint (yes, I know most moles don't actually contain chocolate). Balancing out the bittersweetness has been challenging, especially given that the tomatoes I can get around here are already quite sweet. It also affects how much lemon juice or amchoor is needed. I'm not quite convinced yet that it's a good idea lol.

By convention, compound SI units (e.g. N•m) are separated by a space or multiplication dot and are not just smashed together. The lack of such a separator in the above example implies the "milli" prefix.

m•Hz ~ m/s with implied periodicity, mHz would be milliherz
