It's feeding my need for content so I appreciate it

Gotcha! Enjoy your hopping then - just didn't want someone to try out Linux for the first time on hard mode and give up
Arch isn't any easier than Gentoo. If you're newer to Linux and looking for something that 'just works' I'd stick with something Debian based like Ubuntu, Elementary, Mint, or PopOS
Lemmy.blahaj.zone and lemmynsfw.com :) Happy browsing
Exactly this, if we can stop them in their Embrace phase before they can get to Extend and Extinguish, we should be fine. I think defederating from Meta and Reddit should be any Fedi instances first priority. Though I'm sure some will think it's a great idea as it'll bring more users and content, but it's only a good idea at first while these companies need the Fediverse, as soon as they don't need us they'll fuck it all over like Google did with XMPP
I've got accounts on 4 different instances just to see what things are like. Sometimes I want to see all sorts of posts, sometimes I want a feed of just LGBT-positive stuff, sometimes I just want to get off, different accounts on different instances for different things :)
Ohh ok thanks, hadn't heard of lemmygrad
My work phone is a z Fold 4 and it's been holding up well over the last year (?) ish that it's been used. I agree with the other commenter here though that the front screen is just too damn narrow and tall. I'd rather have a normal width phone that folds out to an even bigger tablet. The unfolded screen still leaves something to be desired size-wise and the dip in the middle is weird. App compatibility is hit or miss and sometimes even compatible apps glitch out, for example Outlook - if you tap on an opened email, the controls will change to the email buttons, and getting back to the inbox buttons can be a pain.
Sorry, I'm new here - "saying anything remotely iffy with a lemmygrad account" - what does this mean? TIA
On the website you can to go your account settings and there is a section for blocking users and communities
