She would probably be obsessed with that show

Preppy seems right

My character Emma is 15. She’s obsessed with sports and dresses really fashionably, often judges other girls for petty things too. She does seem nice at first, even overtly so, to get people to join her friend group, but has a more complex side.

She’s very cliquey with her friends and will kick random girls out of her group for petty reasons. People often don’t want to spend time with Emma’s group because Emma is there, although she thinks people don’t want to hang out with her because she’s “different” and “the weird kid”, neither of which people see her as.

Emma often believes that people deserve to be bullied/mistreated by her and that nothing’s ever her fault, and has done loads of manipulation and emotional harm towards her “friends”.

Emma is extremely nice to the other boys and wants to gain their attention, often by flirting with them, laughing at their jokes, and even trying to steal guys from their girlfriends.

For the languages I’m learning:

Spanish, I generally prefer terms like elle (they), amigue (friend, gender neutral), etc.

Similarly, elu with Portuguese

Dukaisms with Polish

And hen for Norwegian

I’m fine with “my man” now :)

In 2021, I struggled with intense dysphoria which caused me to feel bad every time someone mentioned things like male parts, or gendered language.

I’ve seen girls in high school do that

That makes sense! I generally don’t care what I’m called (he or she), but I prefer neutral language. I used to hate (but not as much now) gendered terms such as “What’s up my man?” Or “This man”.

Everyone is different. Some people who are non binary but lean/present as feminine might use feminine words, but others I’ve seen use the masculine because they think modifying the grammar is complicated.

I personally use the gender-neutral modified language, like using elle in Spanish.

These are not mine, obviously, plus, I’m a lemmy.ca user (so I apologize for posting here) but I did come across

! meliliolinemeli@lemmy.blahaj.zone and !tonsi@lemmy.blahaj.zone which are both Blahaj Lemmy groups for people who speak Toki Pona.

I want a free app to practice and memorize vocabulary but one that also teaches grammar and audio comprehension (I can barely understand sometimes, especially since I don't use Duolingo every day) better than Duolingo does and doesn't make you lose hearts or anything.

It could also just be English if you only speak English.

Random post, also he is quite controversial.

So, this guy I used to be friends with (maybe he gets some slack, I’m 18 and he’s 17) is a very far-right individual.

He doesn’t date trans people (which is fine) but he also thinks that they don’t count as “actual” men/women and that they’re some other category, and says he can’t date them “because he’s bisexual”.

He also heavily criticizes Democrats/non-Trump supporters and praises anyone who supports Trump, even if they’re bad people because he doesn’t believe bad people support Trump?

My friend also says it would make sense for him to be bisexual and support Trump since he heavily prefers women and would therefore “fit in with straight people” and not understand LGBT stuff. He seems to support it as a bi dude but the way he talks about other stuff heavily outweighs his support.

He also believes every non-white person should “go back to where they came from”, that they’re all illegal immigrants (bonus points if they’re Latino), and that people who aren’t white are secretly out to get white people.

He even tried to tell me that my friend of Caribbean descent was bad and that he would end up killing us all and tried to persuade me to stop being his friend.

But seriously, prefers the opposite gender or not, he is still bi, and I don’t really understand LGBT Trump supporters much.

Not everyone thinks this, but I know an extreme right-winger who thinks this. He is also a conspiracy theorist who thinks non-white people are out to get white people so, yeah, odd.

Not every immigrant is illegal or bad. I know a girl who didn't speak English for 3 years when her family legally immigrated, so of course she's been told this.

Obviously, not everyone is like this, if you’re not like this, I don’t mean you.

You can hate the Russian government or the culture or whatever, but you shouldn’t hate people. You shouldn’t hate people of Russian descent just because of where they came from, because of the language they speak, because of what the russian government is doing.
