Meanwhile, at the capital's main square gathered the "activists for traditional values". They waved the ultra-nationalist Right Sector and Azov flags, and chanted "To the Ukraine's enemies? Death, Death, Death". They started marching, and later ran towards the location of the pride parade, but by the time they reached it, the participants already have dispersed. Here's the video.

First of all, the hype of different blockchains has garnered attention. People who fall into the hype hasn't learned about the financial literacy and the risks of investing into those.

When Axie Infinity became popular in my country, influencers have started promoting the game and so-called scholarship, which is to refer to a new player. Within a few months of playing, people lost money. Influencers haven't spoken about the players losing money.

Remember, investment into such blockchains carries a risk. Those are called the digital Ponzi scheme by some people.

edit: i have used smartphones for most of my life, but i am thinking of daily driving a feature phone for multiple reasons. i don't know which one i want to get, i'm mostly looking at for the ones with a qwerty keyboard and also looking at the other bar phones like nokia, punkt, panita, etc.

It's no secret that capitalism basically ruined geek culture by deliberately milking franchises, manufacturing and pandering to audiences with zero standards (lookin at you Marvel, AAA gaming), and sacrificing performance over whatever trendy AaA bullshit there is. I just got a shower thought, does this apply to everything else in general, one example I can think of is comedy nowadays (though YT's terrible moderation didn't help in ruining it), fashion, electronics nowadays, and even fuckin activism.

I am not gonna be active for a while. My family is gonna go on vacation to Samar. I can already feel like it's gonna be great because I've already been there a few times.

I have only half-finished it yet but I need to rant.

I'm working on a Masters degree in Mathematics right now and I'm hoping to study Algebra in a PhD program afterwards. I've talked to my professors and advisor, and they've given me advice as to good schools to look at, but their experience is very US centric, and if I'm being entirely honest, I want to leave here so bad.

I'm not entirely certain what I'm looking for. I don't know if it's a greater sense of community, less insane politics, more commies, or just... An actual chance to help make genuine positive change. It's probably a mix of all of that and other stuff.

So I guess I'm keeping my question a bit open ended, hoping for thought fodder, and I'm asking here specifically for a uniquely commie perspective. What would you do?

5. "Women content creators are cringe". Ok, I'll show you male content creators who are just as cringe - some of which are even more so: Synthetic Man, Hero Hei, LeafyIsHere, The Quartering, RiceGum, Think Before You Sleep, the LankyBox duo, HaloFollower, Acheeto, ENDYMIONtv, Jake Paul, Mr Beast. They all post shitty content but barely get the same scorn as any female content creator, with female streamers being the best example. I mean I get that there are content creators that are genuinely cringe like Keffals, Brett Cooper, Misha Petrov but come on.

4. White woman music. I've seen songs by males or songs that aren't associated with white women that are just as shit and ear-grating as so-called "white woman music" like "Big Dick Randy" or "NZRD"/H3ЯД by vyral, a big chunk of OPM, etc. It's fine shitting on shitty music, it's just that "white woman music" sounds sexist I mean just call it "TikTok music" since TikTok music is absolutely insufferable to listen to with some exceptions.

If you say yes, congratulations you are getting more consistent. The biggest problem with hyperaestheticaztion regardless of gender is the complete erasure of individual expression in favor "I wanna be like the CoOl kids." I see this here in the gamer alley, almost everything looks the fucking same, the same fucking color pallete, same fucking buzzwords, same fucking everything, where is genuine expression? Nothing, literally nothing. It has gotten to a point where genuine expressions has been renamed to MeCore.

2. "You only got X because you were pretty." If I pointed a handsome muscular gym bro and said the exact same thing I - rightfully so - will get my skull caved in so why is it ok when it comes to women? Like don't get me wrong, it's ok to shit on someone based on valid reasons, them being "pretty" isn't one of those. Like come on, you sound like you're shitting on someone for being pretty like are you some sort of incel?

1. The absolute most annoying stereotype is of course OnlyFans. God fucking help me if I see another OnlyFans joke I would throw a gamer rage and offend every group known to man (even white people). It's not funny, every time there's a woman and this shit gets brought up, I get an inch closer to raging. I was recently watching some videos of people speaking various south-east Asian languages with subtitles in their own language and it occurred to me that among them all Vietnamese is a strange exception.

In what way? Well it's the only one that still uses the western (latin) script for writing. All other countries around Vietnam: Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, (and China, of course) all have their own script to write their language in. Vietnam however uses a modified version of the Latin alphabet.

This is strange to me for two reasons:

Firstly, while i am no expert on the subject, it appears to me that this is a clear legacy of colonialism. Secondly, judging by how many modifications the Vietnamese alphabet has, all the various diacritics and tone indicators that are necessary to make it work, this would suggest to me that the Latin alphabet is just not a good fit for the specific phonology and tonal nature of the Vietnamese language.

Wouldn't it be better for Vietnam to develop its own script (or re-adopt a historical one)? One that is tailor made to fit the Vietnamese language instead of trying to force it into the ill-fitting mold of a western latin alphabet? Should Vietnam not decolonize its language, is what i'm asking, and why didn't it do so under Ho Chi Minh? Isn't it time to discard this legacy of colonial imposition and of European cultural domination of Vietnam?

The same goes for other non-European languages (and even some European, particularly the Slavic ones which would probably be better suited to Cyrillic and wouldn't need to use so many "workarounds" to represent sounds that don't exist in Latin descended languages) that still use a version of the Latin alphabet despite this script not being a natural fit for the language and only having been adopted due to European colonialism.

Or is this just a really stupid thought i had and nobody really cares? I don't know, what do you guys think?

It's no surprise Tiktok basically destroyed two entire generations, one such way is via reduce attention spans due to overexposure. I am looking for a way to extend it long enough to do even basic tasks because this basically affects a big chunk of of what I do: modding, editing, art, etc.

The European Parliament elections are tomorrow* and there’s nobody to vote for. (technically e-voting and pre-voting started on monday, but I always vote on the „correct“ day)

The only mainstream party that doesn’t want war with Russia (or says it doesn’t) is EKRE. However, I don’t want to vote for them. Not only are they very conservative but recently their MEP Jaak Madison was accused of sexually harassing someone.

Another option is KOOS. They, too, are socially conservative but they are the only anti-NATO party. Not much point in voting for them though, polls show KOOS will get less than 2% of votes.

I probably shouldn’t vote at all. Not only is my vote worthless but we only have 7 seats in the European Parliament so it doesn’t matter anyway. I know that bourgeois elections are mostly pointless, it just sucks to see how little my opinion matters.

Sorry, this is mostly a vent post with some links to give y'all context (not very good sources), I just feel alone and nobody IRL understands.

We've been together three years and we're alright, but it doesn't make much sense to continue because we have so much to live for and we would imprison ourselves if we stood. I know I'll miss her, but what I won't miss is the constant threat of hearing the worst take imaginable when I was at her family dinners!
