My favorite part of this is thinking about how much 2010 brand would have made fun of 2024 brand. I didn’t love 2010 brand, but I hope he realizes how much he would disappoint his past self.

You think his 2010 views were more authentic than his 2024 views? He's always been a grifter, he's just found a more lucrative market segment

I think he once believed in things and now lies for a living, less successfully than he has in the past.

He believed in attention for himself. He got that by grandstanding on white knight activism.

Whether or not he believed in his soapbox topics is unclear.

None of the upsides of a worldwide lurch into fascism is it makes it easier to see who had principles and who was just pretending. There are downsides, however.
