I watched Alien Romulus last night. It was pretty meh. I appreciated some of the other movies in the universe that covered new ground, but Romulus was basically

"trapped in a spaceship with aliens," which been pretty well covered by the series so far.Agreed, it was just fine. I found the fan service callbacks to the previous movies pretty distracting and unnecessary.
I really enjoyed it but fuck me the callbacks really took away from it. Like it's a decent movie, just stand on your own. We've all seen Aliens.
