I didn't acknowledge your work for JVP because it was almost certainly 'i signed a petition to feel better about myself' and not worth discussing. The JVP has basically publish a few feel good opinion pieces and washed their hands on the matter. The organization is focused on defunding settlements from charities. News flash: the current genocide is being funded by tax dollars not charities.

In short, no it had nothing to do with the name; They're focused on organizing the jewish community, probably ineffectually, and it'll take far too long to organize it in a manner that is effective for the current crisis. Especially given the discussions my jewish community has had over the last year. I wish them luck but they're essentially useless for the current situation and it'll be awhile before they're effective.
