Maybe, but it’s usually easier to provide a solution if they’re convinced there’s a problem. A talking point if you choose the “socialism good” path that I can suggest is that IPhones and Space exploration technology were not created by capitalism or the private sector. The USSR created the first portable phone. The USSR sent the first satellite, man, woman, and dog to space. In response the US funded their own public sector to create better tech. You could also point out that millions are still impoverished in the US and globally poverty would be going up if it wasn’t for the Chinese government lifting millions out of poverty. However, it’s best to mostly focus on how they are personally harmed by capitalism or would be helped by socialism.
Edit: for the iPhone thing, mention that even though it’s the government who made it outside of private markets it’s the companies that get to rake in massive profits and they use designed obsolescence to make their products fail after a few years so people have to buy new crap. In addition, reactionaries often like to hate on the Liberal media, so make sure you point out when they’re lying on AES, hiding union news, ignoring class, or something else.
Yeah that's a good point he also made a lot of red scare or cold war propaganda arguments like communism is when nobody gets compensation it's also good if I'm going to go on the socialism good train is give examples instead of complaints about capitalism
