Wars being thoroughly documented on social media has turned out to be a double-edged sword.
One on hand, there’s way more proof of all the war crimes and atrocities being commited, readily available for anyone with a few clicks, which also makes it easier to refute propagandist narratives from jingoistic governments and their media lackeys.
On the other hand, there is now an entire generation of spoiled douchebags that very much enjoys watching footage of human beings being brutally killed, ending up with completely dulled empathy, which this post is demonstrating quite well.
Because no shit are soldiers staring at drones coming at them. They’re not seeing ghost. They’re seeing the very thing that’s about to end their life. What kind of person wouldn’t be horrified by that sight?
