This, and also the O&G companies have a lot of money. Citizens United says they have every right to use as much of it as they want during campaign season. So you promise a modern, prosperous future and the scared, EXTREMELY wealthy, buggy whip manufacturers will do everything in their power to prevent that future from happening.
