thanks for the more accurate perspective, honestly my memory is very shit
I also was immediately against Carcosa resigning, and if my terrible memory is correct, I might have even replied directly to them to say the decision was rash and they shouldn't leave. But i think what gets most people is not only was it a mess, but it was just straight up a mess we didn't need to have. Whole thing could have been averted with a stickied "hey everyone, recent posts have pointed out that the name of the dunk tank is a racist reference and we have concerns about the prevalance of dunk culture" post, seriously.
the fact that TC69 somehow got inserted into it in the middle stages of the drama was honestly baffling
Wait, THAT'S what this giant hundreds comment post is about? Still?? That shit went down like over a month ago...
No, this post was to do a general site check in and to let anyone air grievances from the past 6 months
well, i'm guessing it's a flow on from that...
previously, the admin group didn't communicate changes before making them and everyone got big mad as things went from blunder to blunder
now, the admin group is opening the floor to communicate about whatever the userbase has concerns about, so kinda not surprising that everyone wants to talk about the last big issue. if there's another open floor post like in 2 months or something, i'm sure it'll be much more focussed on people's suggestions, because there hopefully won't be some big fuckup for everyone to remember
