I'm sorry for ranting, but I need to let the steam off.

The amount of redditors defending Elon Musk is beyond pissing me off. This piece of shit literally sieg hailed and people are defending him like crazy, some going even to the length of saying it isn't a nazi salute because the arm angle is wrong............................................

The thread that finally pissed me off to this point is this one in r/linux_gaming.

The sheer amount of libs that think there shouldn't be politics in a fucking Linux subreddit is beyond baffling, and the amount of people just defending Musk just pisses me off to no end. At this point I'm done with that shit ass platform. I'll delete my account after I bookmark some of the actual useful threads I saved over the years. FUCKING HELL.

All the tech bros sucking musk off are infuriating.

Remember though, reddit is like, what, 70% bots? I mean come on, there's barely anything organic on that platform anymore. I'm just about ready to delete reddit as well. It's just a mindless timesink.

Is it really 70%? I knew it was high but is it seriously that bad?

I pulled that figure out of my ass, but it's definitely high, likely way higher than people realize.

Certainly feels like it. I keep seeing subreddits turn into massive hiveminds overnight. One day everything looks normal, next day something big happens and suddenly a majority of users will parrot basically the same talking points (even in threads where they are off-topic) and act extremely aggressive towards anyone who goes against the grain.

Damn near every thread just feels like bots posting based on sentiment. One day, ever user loves idea XYZ but the very same topic on the next day every user hates idea XYZ. None of it feels organic or genuine. Once I learned about dead internet theory and read Manufacturing Consent, it's easy to see how the vast majority of social media is just nonsense bs
