Will cancelled movies matter if people keep their streaming subscriptions?

Strikers have called for people to keep their subscriptions. Studios still classify streaming as unproven so they can charge less for them, and people cancelling en masse will likely cause them to double down on that. One of the big arguments is residuals and how streaming basically does not have them when cable did.
